"One of the Blyth & Tyne’s most favoured bands, South Shield’s Scarlet Conviction. Rapidly gaining themselves a good reputation within the local scene partly for being a genuinely nice band to work with, their reliability and overall positive attitude and partly for being a female fronted band that doesn’t sound like Paramore despite claiming to have a bit of a “pop punk” influence. Using a standard 4 piece set up, bassist Charlotte takes up vocals with her sister Angela & the fuzzy haired Josh on guitars and Glenn on drums, Scarlet Conviction’s alt rock sound is as muscular as any of their influences. Fans of Foo Fighters, Twin Atlantic & You Me At Six will love these guys"

"Scarlet Conviction are a four-piece rock band from North East England fronted by sisters, not something you get very often. When we first turned the track up in the office, we had hints of 'The Con - Tegan and Sarah' bouncy playin style coupled with a 'Cruel to be Kind - Wishing on a Star' catchiness, beautifully simple harmonies and easy to relate to lyrics. The female vocals are both quirky and interesting to listen to.
Don't be surprised if you see Scarlet Conviction leading the way for female rock duets in a few years time."
